I really love these led grow lights! I just ordered 2 more for a total of 6 that I use at my indoor microgreen and seed starter station. When I first ordered one, about 6 months ago, I was somewhat skeptical. I had previously ben using T5 florescent lamps, and I got tired of replacing the lamps, ballasts, etc, plus the potential for damage/ shorts or whatever in a moist environment. So, I searched for a better solution that was cost effective, efficient and durable.I came across these babies, read all of the reviews, and decided to take the plunge. I’m really glad I did!The product arrived in a nice square box with bubble wrapping for protection. None of the units I’ve ordered have ever arrived damaged, so I’m thankful to the vendor and Amazon Shipping for their overzealous packing practices. These lamps arrive with a wire (kind of like miniature aircraft wire) hanger that attaches to the top of the unit at 4 locations, with clips on the ends at the mounting points. I didn’t need the wire hanger, because I just attached alligater clips on the ends for easy repositioning instead. They seem sturdy enough for the weight of the unit, but the metal tabs can bend if you repeatidly detach and attach the clips to a mounting location, like I did, trying to hang these in the right spot for my needs. Also, I recommend removing the tabs from the existing locations at the front, rear and sides, and reinstalling them at the 4 corners. Just remove the small black screws and install the tabs where you like. I don’t know why the manufacturer chose to put the tabs wher they were, but as I said, they can be relocated fairly easily.By the way, my microgreens proliferate at a distance of approximately 12 – 16 inches below the lights, and I can raise my sprouted seedlings to 6 inches without fear of burning or overheating. Plus I beleive these are much more enrgy efficient than what I was using before.Would definately recommend!

****Legit review***I bought product****Unsolicited***Second one of these grow lamps I’ve bought because the first one was fantastic! I run them 24 hours a day currently and they’re only rated to run about half of that. NO heat generated and you can feel safe leaving them on. My new schedule I run about half the time and they are controlled by a timer. Not a single problem turning off and on. They are super lightweight and positionable with wire hangers. The light spectrum is perfect for both germinating, vegetating and are proving very effective is blossom season as well.

The product itself IS a 5 star product. But I had some problems with it. First reason for one star. It was mailed in the box the item comes in, only one end of box was taped, and the box doesn’t stay closed very well. Second the power cord was missing. However… Some things I wish it had. I wish it had a dedicated, separate on/off switchs for the IR and UV lights. I don’t think you necessarily need those all the time. I wish it had a fan to help cool it. Even after about an hour of use it is warm to the touch but not burning hot. Will amend review if it’s scalding hot at end of 12 hours. Lastly the power cord directly affects the rotation of light. If your OCD like me it might take a few moments to get it square because the power cord I’m using is heavy and not pliable. Onto the good. It is BRIGHT! Very easy to set up, self balances itself. Has two ways to mount/hang. It draws 15.7 watts. It is built fairly well, the boards look to hold up for a good while. I recommend only useing it for 12 hours at a time. So if you need more than 12 hours of light I’d plan on ordering two. Or modify to accommodate heavy use at own risk. Overall. GREAT product. Definitely recommend. Just check your package for everything. It includes power cord, light, hanging hooks, and spec sheet.

This is a wonderful product! I bought 2 of this product and 2 of the same from another co. These had a much easier hanging system. I use them with this rack: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K17OV9M/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for seed starting. My seeds were up very quick. I also wrapped the whole shelving unit with these mylar thermal blankets to hold moisture and to reflect the light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0764S4X2L/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My seedlings are doing great.I do wonder though, since I’m using 4 (hoping to expand to 6) lights on the same unit if it’s possible to interconnect the lights to one another, and only plug one plug into the timer. As it is, I have to plug a surge protector into the wall, a timer into the surge protector, and different surge protector into the time and plug the various lights into the surger protector that’s on a timer. It would make more sense to have cords with 2 male ends to insert one light to another and only have to plug one into the timer. Very happy with this set up~

I grow heirloom peppers and had purchased five lights from another company that were in metal frames, had on off switches and truly put out the light that they advertised. Unfortunately one unit stopped working three weeks after I received it and I’ve yet to hear back from the seller in China. The lights don’t appear to be available anymore so I doubt I’ll get a replacement. In the meantime I had 50 pepper starts dying for some light. I purchased these one as a quick fix. They are inexpensive so the old adage is “you get what you pay for” is apropos. The arrived quick which was good. But these are very cheaply made lights. The are in a very light weight plastic frame, do not have on/off switches and don’t hang quite as well as my old ones. Being square they do cover a larger area which is nice. The real down side is they are not very bright. They say they are 47 Watts. But you could fool me. More like 15 watts. I really don’t expect them to last more than this season of two if I’m lucky but they will get me through for now. It’s a shame that to get really good lights you will need to pay… a lot.
Great !! Came just in time for seeding !! Fast shipping & GREAT PACKAGING!!! Very safe packaging –
Great light just could be a bit brighter & hand adjustable !

Cheap piece of crap. Burned out after 1 week. very cheaply made, the led are open looks like drilled holes with a led in it. My wife said it smells like something is burning, we guess it was the light because it went out the next day. I should have spent more money to buy something good.

I was super excited about setting up a place to start vegetables and herbs indoors in the winter. With one one of these lights and a heating pad, and using good potting soil, I got very leggy plants–even the ones immediately below the light fixture. I purchased the same light again the following year and having the two gave me much better growth, but my plants were still pretty scrawny compared to those a friend started indoors. I can’t say that my lack of success is entirely due to a lack of appropriate lighting, but adding light did improve the plant growth.I will keep trying. The cost of another light and another heating pad would be about what it would cost to to buy starter plants at the nursery, and I would hope to use them for multiple years.
